Walking around South Beach before our flight to Panama my friend Juan sees Roberto Duran cruise by in a convertable and screams 'El campion, el campion!' Juan has his camera out and starts snapping photos, and begs Duran to pose for some shots. Duran agrees and ends up parking, taking off his shirt, flexing- still acting every bit the champ. He joins us at a cafe with his entourage for drinks and graciously answers all of Juan's questions. My spanish is worthless so Duran's nephews talk to me about architecture. I am surfing 'lin'ers days later.

Ancient carvings found
Sea creature teeth carved into tikis found in dunes of Sandbridge! Were they left by a nomad tribe of wandering aboriginals? Are they pirate treasure stash? Part of a Viking expedition? My wildest imigination believes all of it. Or maybe they are the latest set of mini carvings I did recently.

surf & adventure keychains and necklaces
Brought in new keychains and necklaces to Surf & Adventure today. This will be the last batch of these models- get 'em now for yourself and as the perfect stocking stuffer. I'm going to Grubby Clark these molds and make way for the 2011 crew of awesomeness.

like a birds imprint upon the sky
Boxed canvas, poured plastic, cardboard and oils. Just finished after sitting on for the better part of 2 years. I might wake up tomorrow and paint over it... figured I'd post it first.

Making a tiki mailbox
Posted this a couple of weeks ago and finally got to carving a few days ago.
First with the chainsaw.
Gotta buy a mailbox.
Grinder work and cut box hole... lots more work to do, but it is on it's way... I think.
Until things fall apart. Still salvageable, but, only as a display. A little bummed about this one, luckily there is a piece of cedar eagerly waiting to become the next letter box.
